  1. I've only known Elaine a short time, but it doesnt take long to see what a wonderful person she really is. I was with her at the Freedom Festival Concert in Cedar Rapids and saw something remarkable; I felt compelled to share these thoughts. As far as the title Mrs USA goes, she could win on her stunning beauty alone. But it takes more to become Mrs USA. Although extremely busy with family and community, Elaine will stop everything to speak with anyone who seeks her out. Everyone can feel her magnetism, her warmth, her compassion for others and her love of children. People are drawn to her and made to feel like the most important person in the world when she talks with them. Never have I seen anyone who cares so deeply for our country's veterans. I sit on the board of directors for Honor Flight and with her help we are sending countless WWII veterans on the journey of a lifetime. She is tireless. At the concert depicted by the photo of this veteran, I saw a side of her that touched my heart and almost moved me to tears. More so than anyone, children are drawn to her in a way that caught me completely by surprise. And in return, she adores and is drawn to them as well. To the children, Elaine is a princess. They want to hug her, kiss her and hold her hand. She is so loved. From the 90 year old veteran to a little 4 year old girl, the sparkle in their eyes leaves no doubt, that is indeed who they just met; not just Mrs Iowa, but a real princess. What makes Mrs USA? A loving wife and mother who spends countless hours devoted to husband and children, almost living each day in a minivan as she goes to events and games? A woman who donates untold hours to others and veteran's causes? A woman much respected in her community for her strength and leadership? A woman and mother who is loved by everyone? I believe that in all these things, Elaine defines the title, Mrs USA. To all of us she has touched, that is so, no matter how the pagent turns out. As for myself, and all the children whose eyes she has made sparkle with joy, she will always be a princess.

  2. Michael (Sir),
Thank you for recognizing that in Elaine! She is a Pricess in my eyes and always will be. She puts her heart and soul into all that she does for Veterans, Children, Family and support to Alzheimers. It is amazing that she can get it all done and still be a wonderful wife and mother.
She is the love of my life and I am so proud of what she has accomplished thus far. I can just imagine what she could do with the title of Mrs. United States All World Beauties!

    Sincerely,
    Joe Reinholz
