Send Off Ceremonies in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

On August 7Th and 8Th my family and I attended the send offs for more Iowa National Guard Troops being deployed to Afghanistan for the next year. Approx 370 soldiers said good bye to their families and friends and I doubt there was a dry eye to be found as the buses rolled away. Words cannot express what I saw and felt watching and meeting people...so the rest of the story will be told through pictures. Our thoughts and prayers are with the soldiers and families of 2/34Th Brigade Special Troops Battalion HHC, B Co., C Co. and the 334Th Brigade Support Battalion. Hurry home, we miss you...
